MCNHS Academic Policies

Students must adhere to the following Department requirements to progress through the undergraduate programs in the Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Failure to adhere to all of the policies may result in probation or dismissal from the department, college and/or university.

It is the students' responsibility to keep track of their academic standing by reviewing their degree audit. They should check their degree audits often for any problems or discrepancies (grades, transfer credits, GPA, graduation requirements) and see their advisor with any questions.

Writing Proficiency Requirements (WPR)

The WPR is a graduation requirement for all students who are working towards an undergraduate degree at 91视频. This requirement can be fulfilled by either taking a three-hour exam or completing a long-term portfolio. Students who have already earned a bachelor's degree from 91视频 or any other university where instruction is in English, and are pursuing a second degree, may apply for a waiver of the Writing Proficiency Requirement (WPR). The WPR Waiver Form includes the list of supporting documentation needed for the waiver application.

Readmission policy

Students who leave the Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences (MCNHS)  in good standing may resume their studies by completing the Readmission Form along with a readmission fee of $60.00 as either a check or money order made payable to the 91视频. You will be notified of your readmission status. Students who have been dismissed from the Manning College and wish to resume their education should contact the registrar's office. 

Withdrawal Policy

Undergraduate Nursing and Health Sciences students should follow the University's general Academic Regulations regarding course withdrawal. Nursing students should be aware that withdrawal from a clinical course or course with co-requisites may not be permitted, as progression is based on fully meeting these requirements.
